GHC - New Construction
Project: Old World Charm
To set off this lovely waterfront setting tucked away on Fox Island, the
owners wanted their custom dream home to emanate an old-world character.
They performed thoughtful research to ensure that each design element
would reflect this feel. From the colors and fixture choices to the heart
pine floors, the owners had complete artistic control of this beautiful
project. Even at 5,000 square feet, the warm design features help the home
to exude a cottage flavor. The family benefited from GHC’s custom cabinet
building expertise. We built all the kitchen cabinets, the fireplace and
moldings, including the high baseboards, either on site or in our Gig
Harbor shop.

Project: Northwest beauty
This classic Northwest design takes advantage of the spectacular views of
the Puget Sound at every angle. From its cedar shingles to its cherry
hardwood flooring, this signature project represents some of our most
comprehensive work. The Fox Island beauty features a well thought-out
design with natural, northwest materials such as custom cherry cabinets,
granite countertops, Douglas fir doors, and hemlock and cherry trim. With
roof lines that are reminiscent of a small village, spectacular ceilings
up to 30 feet and windows, windows, windows, this 4,000-square foot home
is a show piece. GHC worked closely with the owners who took the vision of
architect Bret Drager and ran with it. They made all of the light, yet
warm color choices and selected all of the fixtures. Throughout the
10-month construction project, the home’s owners were involved every step
of the way.
GHC - New Construction Project: A Luxury Dream Home
This work-at-home couple is sparing no expense to have GHC build a
high-tech, luxury dream home that reflects their love of Gig Harbor and
the Pacific Northwest. Featuring top-grade natural materials of cedar,
slate, granite and stone and a customized interior fully wired for the
latest technology, the 5,200 square-foot home, once completed, will be the
ultimate in Northwest chic.

Project: Rooms With A View
Bret Drager, of Drager Gould Architects in Tacoma, designed this Fox
Island home to take full advantage of its Mt. Ranier view. Every room
opens onto the deck, which faces the sound and stretches the length of the
2,200 square foot home. Its features reflect true Northwest styling, from
its wood-framed Pella windows and open beam ceilings to its custom
cabinetry work and separate, vaulted-ceiling writer's retreat.

Project: Next Generation Home
The owner took over his grandfather's South Puget Sound property to build
a next generation home, which takes advantage of light, volume and natural
woods to create an informal, comfortable ambience. It features high
ceilings and lots of Anderson windows throughout. The exterior is wrapped
in Eastern white cedar siding, while reclaimed chestnut floors and lots of
quality Douglas fir millwork accentuate the interior.

Project: Cozy Country Getaway
This custom-built cabin on Anderson Island brought to life the owner's
childhood fantasies of a cozy country getaway. The exterior shingles and
board and batt are of Western red cedar. Inside, lofty ceilings and
Milgard windows and doors lend a spacious air to the 1,200 square foot
cabin, while lots of knotty pine woodwork, hardwood floors and a
river-rock fireplace give it a home and hearth feel.
